In response to the international Corona Covid-19 travel restrictions, Tintswalo Lodges have introduced reduced rates for locals with as much as 50% discount for self-drive travel until July 31 2020.
Tintswalo’s exclusive luxury lodges are located in idyllic, remote locations where guests can escape the crowds, connect with nature, and relax in a stress-free environment.
The Tintswalo properties portfolio includes safari destinations in the malaria-free Waterberg, Tintswalo Lapalala and the new Tintswalo Family Camp at Welgevonden, as well as Tintswalo Safari Lodge in the Greater Kruger region. In Cape Town, special Staycation offers are also available at both Tintswalo Atlantic and Tintswalo at Boulders Beach Boutique Villa.
Lisa Goosen, CEO of Tintswalo says the South African tourism industry has been hard hit by enforced cancellations from international tourists and the global trend to delay overseas travel plans. ‘(Hence) our Staycation deals are for locals wanting to escape some of the city frenzy to enjoy a restful break with loved ones at bucket-list destinations.’
She added that Tintswalo staff had been briefed and all lodges have prevention action plans in place to minimise the risk of Covid-19 contamination. Guest rooms, kitchens, and all communal areas are disinfected and sanitation products are at the disposal of guests.
Children are welcome at all Tintswalo lodges, making them ideal destinations for families to spend time together during the newly introduced extended school breaks.
Tintswalo’s Staycation deals start from R10 500 for a 2-night break for a family of four at Tintswalo Boulders, or a 2-night stay for two at Tintswalo Atlantic at R10 850 – inclusive of breakfast and afternoon snacks. Safari deals start at R26 000 and include all meals and daily game drives for a 2-night stay for a family of four at Tintswalo Lapalala in the Waterberg or a 2-night safari for two at Tintswalo Safari Lodge. In the same Manyeleti Reserve the Tintswalo Manor House is available at a special Staycation rate of R63 000 per night for a group of 10 people, including all meals and safari activities, or at R65 000 per night for the take-over of the Tintswalo Family Camp at Welgevonden Game Reserve, for 10 people.
