The endangered African wild dog, respected for its community-oriented spirit, has been breeding successfully in the Reserve for many years. Observing the pups play is equally thrilling as watching lion and cheetah cubs get up to mischief here.

All the chalets, including the standard chalets, offer sublime vistas of the waterhole, which envelopes the lodge.

Tau is family-friendly, offering a Cubz Club, babysitting services, special safaris, and education for youngsters, affording the adults quality safari and spa time.

For 28 years, Tau Game Lodge has hosted visitors worldwide. The lodge is enclosed within the reserve, resulting in the humans being subtly fenced in while the game roams free.

Current special rates at Tau Game Lodge start from R5,810 per person per night, including 3 meals daily and 2 game drives daily.
