Then there’s the buzzing Camps Bay strip, with its stylish cocktail spots and dining destinations. It’s here that The Marly Boutique Hotel and Spa holds court and thanks to a five-month-long renovation and the addition of a new floor it looks set to remain a favoured fixture for years to come.

Despite its prime spot on the prestigious Camps Bay Golden Mile, The Marly also offers a unique sense of relaxed exclusivity. The hotel is set back from the road, so once guests are swept upstairs through a private elevator they are cocooned in a secure environment brimming with five-star design and luxurious spoils – including the newly-built Spa and a luxe shopping boutique filled with chic resort wear.
